1021 West 5th features a split-mass tower facing the intersection of West 5th Street and Stone Church Road West. The building has a four storey projection adjacent to the street to account for the building-pedestrian relationship. As part of the luxury rental suites, this four storey projection hosts two level townhome-style units. Using a common interior corridor, these units are accessed at the main level that includes a great room and kitchen with the bedrooms located on the second level.
The project is of non-combustible construction, using cast in place of concrete walls and a precast floor system for ease of constructability and cost efficiency.
