This project is a collection of proposed townhomes located just outside the city centre of Dundas, Ontario. The objective of the project was to introduce increased density into the area in a manner that is respectful of the surrounding residences and rural community. The site upon which the development is proposed is very important to the surrounding community and so the design attempts to maximize use of the land in a thoughtful way.
The development is comprised of 6 townhome clusters which vary between two and three storeys in height. The project yields a total of 29 residential units (approximately 1,600 sq. ft. each). The homes feature an open concept main floor and spacious bedrooms on the upper floors. The buildings are designed with a contemporary take on rural living, using cultured stone, EIFS and glass. Since the development is located at the edge of the township, residents have access to various options for outdoor recreation such as the Huntington Avenue open space directly across the street as well as countless golf courses and conservation areas.
